Daniel (Dan) E. Siskowic was instrumental in forming and building the non-profit Clairemont Football Booster Club during the 2001-02 academic year. Dan was the first president of the club and was dedicated to raising funds to improve the Clairemont High School Football Program and playing facilities. His goal and dream was to improve the overall quality of the football program and to bring additional revenue into the program through the upgrade of the facilities and installation of lights at the football stadium.
Dan was the father of two varsity football players, Cameron and Kyle. He attended all games and video-taped them for the coaches and the team. During the initial year of the Booster Club, Dan led a successful fund raising campaign while he was facing his own challenge of fighting cancer. Dan remained active in the club until January 9, 2002 when he succumbed to cancer at the young age of 44.
The Booster Club, in a desire to honor the memory of Dan Siskowic, has created the Memorial Football Scholarship in his name. |
