CLAIREMONT FOOTBALL PROGRAM

Mission Statement

We here at CLAIREMONT FOOTBALL are committed to providing our student/athletes the best opportunity to succeed, ON & OFF the field.

The program is geared to prepare us for the future, to develop and apply problem solving skills, to optimize life lessons learned that will help us become better citizens and have a positive effect in the community.

WE WANT EVERYONE TO MAKE THE RIGHT CHOICES.

Clairemont Football strives to be more, we want to be the best role models on campus.

Philosophy

  • With anything you are involved with,

"Make it better than you found it"

  • We teach one way players both sides of the ball; allowing more players to get involved / giving us depth.
  • If you make the team, you will contribute. This means you must be prepared.
  • The "Program" will only be as strong as it's weakest link.
  • Core / Role players - each position is important. Find where you can contribute.

Team Rules and Consequences

DISCIPLINE IS A TOP PRIORITY!

  • We have a "two-strikes and you are out" rule. Any mis-conduct will be documented.

  • Show respect to all people, this includes fellow students, school personnel and anyone off campus.....even if they don't play football. We want everyone to make the right choices.

  • WE ARE THE PRIDE OF CLAIREMONT.

  • Be on time to all classes, practices or appointments.  Any ditching is unacceptable, this includes being where you are not supposed to be (including the parking lot during school hours).  Being on time means being in class before the bell rings - don't run in the halls. If you need to miss, you must speak to a coach.

  • You must attend school the day of the game.  If you are not in class, you will not play.

  • Any use of alcohol or drugs is not only against the law, but it is also inexcusable. This will lead to your dismissal from the team.

  • You are responsible for the following:

  • all equipment issued to you, NO alterations.

  • the team room must be presentable and clean at all times.

  • any repairs to your gear need to be done before practices and games.

Our general rules are simple: be prompt, don't miss, work hard, don't embarass yourself or your team or Clairemont High School on or off the field.

These rules will affect your playing time.

Two strikes and you will be out!!!

Integrity is doing the right thing when no-one is around.

The number one question asked by college recruiters is about "character".  We want to be able to say positive things about your character, make the right choices.

(In our pursuit of teaching values and making the right choices, each situation may require special evaluations and considerations.)
